I have had the opportunity to play with the Peachtree Jazz Edition, a happening Big Band in
Peachtree City. It’s a really great group that really puts it out there. Im playing Bari Sax
for them and its a great opportunity for me to get my Bari chops back up to speed. Practice is about
an hour away but its worth it to play with folks of this caliber. They are a great group of
people and run a band in a great way. It is indeed a blast to play with them. Its like sports.
You dont get any better playing folks that are at the same level as you or worse. You only get
better playing people that are better than you, or, in this case, playing with people that are
better players than you. What a lot of fun!!!
The EJS is getting ready to play at Cedartown in a couple of weeks which should be a great
gig. Its for some Citizen of the Year Event. At least its inside!
LIFE IS GOOD!!!
